Brightline extends their buy-one, get-one deal for spring travel
Intercity rail operator Brightline is extending its buy-one, get-one deal announced last week, saving travelers money on a spring getaway to Florida.
For the next five days, Brightline travelers can buy one, get one ticket free, valid for trips taken through May.
This means a family of four only pays for two tickets, making it more affordable to ride the fast-moving train between Brightline’s five South Florida stations — or from the state’s east coast to the terminals at Orlando International Airport (MCO).
Deal basics
Rail operator: Brightline
Deal: Buy one ticket, get one free
Routes: All Florida routes
Travel dates: Through May 31
When to book: By April 6
How to book: Directly through Brightline using the promo code “NOJOKE24”
Sample trip
This buy-one, get-one deal applies to its standard “Smart” economy fares in addition to its “Premium” first-class fares.
Because this sale applies to trips taken throughout April and May, it should cover any April spring break trips — and even Memorial Day weekend trips, marking the start of the summer travel season.
Once on Brightline’s website, you’ll plug in your trip origin, destination, date(s) and number of travelers. You’ll need to enter the promo code “NOJOKE24” right away at this step. Then, click “Apply” before searching for tickets.
Once your code is applied, the buy-one, get-one offer should show up as you search itineraries. However, you may notice that the deal is not available every day, as was the case for the first date I searched. If this happens to you, play around with the dates to find one with the eligible savings.
From there, it should display as two 50%-off tickets. So, instead of paying $59 per person for this April 9 trip from Orlando to Miami, this sale means you could pay $29.50 per person.

Again, this deal applies to Brightline’s higher-priced premium fares, which include a handful of premium perks, including lounge access, wider seats and free snacks and meals available for purchase.
Maximize your purchase
Pay for your train trip with a card that earns bonus points or miles on everyday purchases or on broad “travel” expenses. The Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card earns 2 points per dollar spent on travel. The Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card and Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card earn 2 miles per dollar spent on every purchase, every day. Also, the Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card earns 3 points per dollar on the first $150,000 spent on travel and select business categories each anniversary year.
Bottom line
Launched in 2018, Brightline extended its service to Orlando last fall, providing travelers with an easier link between Central Florida’s theme parks and South Florida’s beaches.
Its future plans call for an extension to Tampa and Florida’s Gulf Coast, as well as a new station in Stuart, the company revealed earlier this month.
Brightline is also plotting an entirely new high-speed line out west.
